South Pars Refineries Supplying 63% of Iran Gas Needs
TEHRAN, Dec. 31 (Shana) – The managing director of South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) said the refineries operating at the complex are supplying over 63% of the country’s gas needs.
Masoud Hassani said the refineries have processed over 109.4 billion cubic meters of gas during the first 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 20,
The official said the facility’s output has risen by 22.7% year-on-year.
He said SPGC refineries have sweetened over 87.61 bcm of gas during the period for injection in the national gas trunklines.
Furthermore, the refineries have processed 141 million barrels of gas condensates during the period, up 16% year-on-year.
The refineries have also processed 356,000 tons of sulfur during these 9 months.
