About below product; A large amount of sulfur to achieve good quality (high purity) requires a series of pre-performance and system design that will be used to access it. Quality of sulfur can be different by using by a variety of methods that are expressed differently, and the most well-known method is named Frasch.

Among other processes Claus is usually a purity of 98/99% (dry) and includes 0.01 to 0.3 % organic materials, 0.01 to 0.05 % ash and approximately 0.05 % humidity without arsenic, tellurium, fluorine and is bitumen.

In this regard, the most common sulfur quality control measures are as follows:

• The amount of moisture
• The amount of ash
• Acidity
• The amount of chloride
• Amount of carbon (organic matter)
• The amount of hydrogen sulfide
• Amount of ammonia
• Arsenic
• Iron

According to available information, the annual production of 7.1 million tons of sulfur in Iran and about 660 thousand tons of them belong to oil refineries. Sulfur is also one of the most important production centers in the South Pars region now and in the future.

The current annual 1.3 million tons of sulfur produced in Iran is excess of the need and this surplus is exported.

More than 65% of the Iranian sulfur will be exported to world markets, according to MPCI Company’s capacity; this product is provided in all secure ports (ASWP) in the world.
